Anaesthetic process
Anaesthesiology consultation before surgery
The anaesthetist’s work begins in the anaesthesia consultation room, where we assess the patient’s previous condition and prepare them for surgery.
Surgical procedure
Once in the operating theatre, anaesthetists select the most suitable anaesthetic technique for each surgery and patient, and monitor the patient’s condition during the procedure. Once the operation is over, we monitor those first moments of the postoperative period to control both the pain and vital functions of the patient.
Complex diagnostic processes and techniques
For certain complex diagnostic techniques (MRI scans, endoscopies and colonoscopies) and for specific treatments (in vitro fertilisation techniques, polypectomies, etc.), we provide suitable sedation to alleviate the discomfort of the procedure and promote patient safety.
