Neurology
The Neurology Service at Olympia Centro Médico Pozuelo is made up of a team of neurologists and paediatric neurologists specialising in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the nervous system.
We provide rapid, personalised outpatient care, with no waiting lists and we have the support of Hospital Universitario Quirónsalud Madrid for cases requiring hospitalisation.
Thanks to our high level of specialisation in different areas of neurology, we guarantee that each patient will be treated by a neurologist who is an expert in their condition, in a modern, comfortable environment equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
Main areas of expertise

Headache unit
Our unit specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of headaches, including migraines, tension headaches and cluster headaches. We use advanced technology and innovative treatments, such as anaesthetic blocks, botulinum toxin, and monoclonal antibodies. Our goal is to alleviate pain, prevent flare-ups, and improve your quality of life from the very first consultation.

Memory disorder and dementia
We offer specialised care for the early diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia and other causes of cognitive impairment. Our multidisciplinary team combines advanced neuroimaging technology, neuropsychological assessment, and personalised therapies. We accompany both the patient and their family, offering guidance, emotional support, and strategies to improve quality of life and independence at every stage of the disease.

Stroke prevention
Service focused on the early detection of cerebrovascular risk factors, clinical and neurovascular assessment, and the implementation of personalised primary and secondary stroke prevention strategies, in accordance with evidence-based clinical guidelines.
Dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of stroke or cerebrovascular accident. We assess risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, and atrial fibrillation, and perform imaging studies and neurovascular tests. We then design a personalised treatment plan. We also treat patients who have already suffered a stroke, with the aim of preventing recurrence and treating sequelae. Our comprehensive approach seeks to reduce the impact of stroke and improve the patient’s quality of life through specialised, continuous monitoring.

Prevention of cognitive decline and dementia
Service specialising in the early identification of risk factors, neuropsychological assessment and the application of personalised interventions to prevent or delay cognitive decline and the onset of dementia, using a multidisciplinary approach based on scientific evidence.

Neuromuscular unit with advanced electromyography and evoked potential studies
We offer specialised diagnosis and treatment for diseases affecting peripheral nerves or neuromuscular junctions and muscles, such as myasthenia gravis, neuropathies, muscular dystrophies, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). We have a multidisciplinary team and advanced technology (EMG, genetic studies, biopsies) to provide accurate, personalised care. Our approach combines pharmacological treatment, rehabilitation and comprehensive support for patients and their families, improving quality of life and functionality from day one.

Multiple sclerosis unit
Our specialised unit offers comprehensive, personalised care to people with multiple sclerosis and other neuroimmunological diseases. We have a multidisciplinary team of neurologists and neuropsychologists who work together to provide early diagnosis, clinical monitoring and advanced treatment. Our goal is to improve quality of life and slow the progression of the disease with a human-centred, evidence-based approach.

Sleep unit
Our neurology consultation provides a specialised sleep medicine service focused on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders such as insomnia, sleep apnoea, restless legs syndrome and excessive sleepiness. Through a detailed clinical assessment and, if necessary, specific tests such as polysomnography, we identify the causes of the problem and design a personalised treatment plan. Our goal is to improve the patient’s sleep quality, overall wellbeing, and neurological health.

Neuropathic pain
We focus on the diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of neuropathic pain through specialised clinical assessment, neurophysiological testing, and personalised treatment.

Specific examinations of the autonomic and vegetative nervous system (SUDOSCAN technique).
The SUDOSCAN device enables rapid, non-invasive and accurate assessment of the autonomic nervous system. It detects dysfunctions in fine nerve fibres, which are difficult to diagnose with conventional tests and are key in diseases such as diabetes, fibromyalgia, and sensory neuropathies. The study takes only 15 minutes, is painless, and is complemented by a clinical examination. This technology significantly improves early diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders related to pain and sensitivity.
