Dr. Vicente Carratalá Baixauli has a Bachelors degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine of Rovira i Virgili University of Tarragona since 2000. During his academic training he was an intern at the General Surgery Department of the University of Tarragona, collaborating in practical teaching.
Between 2002 and 2007, he completed his training in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology via MIR programme at the University Hospital La Fe in Valencia.
Since 2007, he has been working as an attending assistant doctor at the Traumatology department of Unión de Mutuas and at the Quirónsalud Hospital of Valencia in the Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology Unit of the upper limb where he has performed more than 7000 operations.
Director of the Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology Service at Hospital Quirónsalud Murcia since 1982. A centre of excellence in teaching and research, it has collaboration agreements with hospital and university centres around the world.
Director of Medical Services for the Elche, Almería, Hércules de Alicante football clubs. He is a regular consultant for sports clubs at the highest international level.

He obtained his degree of Specialist in Orthopaedic surgery and Traumatology at Hospital Gregorio Marañón in Madrid, under the Head of Service Doctor Francisco Vaquero González. He has performed residencies at several hospitals, such as Hospital Lyon Sud under Prof. DeJour in Lyon, Hospital de Merignac under Dr Michel Allard in Bordeaux, the Sport Medicine Institute under Dr Uribe in Miami, University of Pittsburgh Monteori Hospital with Dr Freddy Fu.
Founding member of the Sociedad Española de Cirugía Artroscópica [Spanish Society for Arthroscopic Surgery], where he has held several leadership positions throughout the years. Within this association, he has developed many pioneering research programmes in the specialisation, which have received numerous scientific awards.
Founder and President of the AMICAL (Asociación Médica para la Investigación y el Desarrollo de las Ciencias del Aparato Locomotor, or Medical Association for Research and Development of the Locomotor System Sciences) Foundation, and institution that has developed several therapeutic solutions for locomotive system pathologies, particularly related to the development of minimally invasive techniques and biological therapies, and has received many prizes and awards for this work at the national and international levels.
Director of the Traumatology and Orthopaedic Surgery Service at Hospital Quirónsalud Murcia, centre of excellence in teaching and research, which has collaboration agreements with hospital and university centres around the world, benchmark teaching centre in Europe for the American Outpatient Foot Surgery Academy, and Co-founder and current Vice-president of the AMICAL (Asociación Médica para la Investigación y el Desarrollo de las Ciencias del Aparato Locomotor, or Medical Association for Research and Development of the Locomotor System Sciences) foundation, which researches therapeutic solutions for locomotor system pathologies.

Vaquero Gonzalez, and the degree of Doctor in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bologna (Italy) after presenting the thesis "Il trattamento chirurgico percutaneo dell’ alluche valgo" with outstanding cum laude marks.
During his training period as a specialist, Doctor Mariano de Prado performed residencies as a fellow at different hospital centres in Europe and the United States, such as the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute (Bologna, Italy) and the Foot and Ankle Center Spokane, (Washington, USA).

Alfonso Cort has worked for several hospitals within the Servicio Valenciano de Salud [Valencia Healthcare Service]. In the private sector, he has also worked in hospitals and insurance companies in the province of Alicante. He is currently the Head of the Foot and Ankle Unit at Quirónsalud Alicante.

Doctor Cort is a bachelor and Doctor of Medicine and Surgery. He completed his specialisation in Traumatology and Orthopaedic Surgery, and is also an expert in Subaquatic and Hyperbaric Medicine.
He is a member of the Sociedad Española de Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatología (SECOT, or Spanish Association for Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology), and has written several publications at the national and international levels about the biomechanics of the joints of the foot, local anaesthetics in outpatient foot surgery, and the biomechanics of the production of the hallux valgus and its surgical correction. He is an associate professor at the School of Medicine of Universidad Miguel Hernández.
With twenty years of experience in neurosurgery, Doctor Ferrández has worked in different hospitals, including as Hospital General de Elche; since 2005, his career has been focused on the spine and its pathologies. Since 2010, he has worked on the Spine Unit at Quirónsalud Torrevieja and, in 2019, with the opening of Quirónsalud Alicante, he also joined its Spine Unit.

Doctor Ferrández has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarre. He completed his specialisation in Neurosurgery at Hospital Universitario "Miguel Servet" in Zaragoza between 1996 and 2001.
He is a member of the Sociedad Española de Neurocirugía [Spanish Society for Neurosurgery]. He continuously engages in the dissemination of surgical techniques through many spine courses. He has written several publications at the national and international level.
Dr. Sánchez Navas underwent specialisation in Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery at the Elche General Hospital. He has worked as a traumatologist at several hospitals in the Alicante province such as Elche General Hospital, Vega Baja Hospital, Sant Joan d'Alacant University Hospital or Medimar International Hospital. He is currently the Head of Arm Unit at Quirónsalud Alicante, as well as an honorary professor in the Department of Anatomy and Embryology at Miguel Hernández University.
Dr. Sánchez Navas graduated in Medicine and Surgery from Alicante University. He attended doctorate courses in Surgical and Applied Anatomy. He received his PhD from Miguel Hernández University in 2012.
Dr. Sánchez Navas is a member of the Valencian Society of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, the Spanish Society of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, the Spanish Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedics Sports Medicince and the AO Foundation. In 1994, he was awarded a FIS Scholarship for the design, development and clinical study of a new device for two-point discrimination. In 1997, he was awarded a FIS scholarship for Factors related to the development of recurrent Gleno-Humeral dislocation and/or painful shoulder after a previous primary Gleno-Humeral dislocation episode.
Dr. Pedro Orlando Mena has more than twenty years experience in the rehabilitation medicine specialty. He has worked as the Head of Department at the Julio Diaz National Rehabilitation Centre, Havana, Cuba and for the past ten years as the Head of Spinal Cord Rehabilitation Department at the Manuel Garcia Hospital in Torrevieja.
