El Dr. Arroyo es Catedrático de Neurología en la facultad de Ciencias Biomédicas y de la Salud de la Universidad Europea de Madrid, impartiendo docencia en la asignatura de Neurología en el grado en Medicina (desde el 2013 hasta la actualidad). FORMACIÓN
El Dr. Rafael Arroyo González es licenciado y doctor en Medicina por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, habiendo obtenido el Premio Extraordinario por su Tesis Doctoral (UCM 2004): Estudio de la asociación del herpes virus humano 6 como factor ambiental implicado en la esclerosis múltiple. Obtuvo el Máster Universitario en Dirección Médica y Gestión en la Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED).

TRAYECTORIA PROFESIONAL
Desde el punto de vista asistencial, es jefe de servicio de Neurología del Hospital Universitario Quirónsalud Madrid y del Hospital Ruber Juan Bravo desde 2006. Bajo su dirección desarrollan sus actividades asistenciales y de investigación 35 profesionales (neurólogos, neurofisiólogos, neurólogos infantiles y neuropsicólogos, enfermeras y coordinadores de investigación).

Desde el punto de vista docente, es Profesor titular de Medicina en la facultad de Ciencias Biomédicas de la Universidad Europea de Madrid y está en posesión de la Acreditación Nacional como Profesor titular en Ciencias de la Salud (concedida por la ANECA).

En su vertiente investigadora destaca como Investigador principal de 100 ensayos clínicos nacionales e internacionales. 7 Proyectos de investigación FIS del Instituto de Salud Carlos III (los 5 últimos como Investigador Principal). 10 proyectos de Fundaciones privadas obtenidos en convocatorias competitivas (7 como Investigador Principal). Ha escrito 139 artículos internacionales con un factor de impacto total de 949,917 y 4.552 citaciones. 38 libros y capítulos de libros.
