The Home Care Service at Hospital Quirónsalud Marbella brings professional healthcare, diagnostic testing and personalised clinical follow-up directly to the patient’s home, maintaining the standards of excellence and safety of a leading international hospital. This service is designed for those seeking comfort, high-quality care and continuity throughout their healthcare journey, while avoiding unnecessary travel.

The service is available between Estepona and Fuengirola and is adapted to a wide range of clinical needs, from occasional nursing care to structured pre- and post-surgical follow-up coordinated with the hospital’s specialists.

Home-based diagnostic tests and nursing care

We provide at-home procedures and clinical care that would normally require a visit to a healthcare facility.
Our professionals deliver technical and diagnostic support following the highest safety standards:

• Blood tests and medication administration (IM, SC, intravenous, as prescribed).
• Simple and complex wound care.
• Monitoring and management of chronic wounds.
• Urinary catheter replacement.
• Removal of Penrose drains, subject to medical assessment.
• Bandaging and initial negative-pressure wound therapy (NPWT).
• Cardiac monitoring: blood pressure Holter and ECG Holter.
• Specialist-prescribed diagnostic tests (e.g. sleep studies requested by the Respiratory Medicine department).

For additional services, our Nursing Coordination Team will be pleased to offer personalised guidance.

Pre-operative care

Our team facilitates a streamlined and efficient pre-operative process, reducing the need for travel while ensuring full coordination with the Anaesthesiology Department.

Services include:

• General pre-operative workup coordinated with Anaesthesiology.
• Electrocardiogram (ECG).
• Blood tests / clinical analysis.

Our goal is to ensure that patients arrive for surgery fully prepared, with all required tests completed from the comfort of their home.

Post-operative care

Following surgery, continuity of care is essential for a safe and comfortable recovery. Our team provides home-based support, including:

• Surgical wound care.
• Removal of sutures and staples.
• Monitoring for signs of infection and overall recovery progress.
• Pain management as prescribed by the medical team.
• Post-discharge follow-up with direct communication with the hospital’s specialists.
