NURSING TESTS AND PROCEDURES AT HOME

We bring clinical procedures and nursing care directly to the patient’s home, which would traditionally require a visit to a healthcare facility.

Our professionals deliver technical and diagnostic care with the highest safety standards:

• Blood tests and administration of medication (IM, SC and intravenous as prescribed)
• Simple and complex wound dressings
• Monitoring and follow-up of chronic wounds
• Catheter changes
• Removal of drains (Penrose) following medical assessment
• Bandaging and initial negative pressure therapy
• Cardiac monitoring: blood pressure Holter and ECG Holter
• Specific diagnostic tests as indicated by a specialist (e.g. sleep study from the Respiratory Medicine Department)

For further available services, our Nursing Coordination team can provide personalised guidance.

Pre-surgical care

We facilitate a smooth and efficient preoperative process, reducing unnecessary travel and ensuring full coordination with the Anaesthesiology Department.

Care includes:

• Coordinated preoperative assessment with Anaesthesiology
• Electrocardiogram (ECG)
• Blood tests

Our aim is to ensure that patients arrive at surgery fully prepared, with all necessary tests completed from the comfort of their home.

Post-surgical care

After surgery, continuity of care is essential for a safe recovery. Our team visits patients at home to provide:

• Surgical wound care
• Removal of stitches and staples
• Monitoring for signs of infection and clinical progress
• Pain management according to medical prescription
• Ongoing follow-up after hospital discharge, with direct communication with hospital specialists
