Medicina Responsable honours Dr Álvarez-Linera for his contribution to neuroradiology in Spain

At the third edition of the Latido Awards, organised by Medicina Responsable, Dr Juan Álvarez-Linera was awarded the Healthcare Professional of the Year prize, in recognition of his career in the field of neuroradiology.
The gala, attended by more than 400 people from the healthcare sector, recognised professionals and organisations that promote innovation, leadership and humanisation in medicine. Dr Álvarez-Linera, head of the Diagnostic Imaging Department at Ruber Internacional Hospital, was honoured for his more than 30 years of clinical experience and his pioneering role in introducing the first 3 Tesla MRI scanner in Spain. This advance was not only a technological milestone, but has also contributed significantly to the development of high-precision diagnostic imaging. The doctor also holds a patent for a simulator related to this technology.
The Latido 2025 Awards featured a top-level jury made up of personalities such as Ana Pastor, Tomás Cobo and Ernesto Sáenz de Buruaga, among others.
The award recognises Dr. Álvarez-Linera as a leading figure in the evolution of radiology in Spain, in recognition of his career marked by his professional work and the promotion of technological innovation.
Dr. Juan Vidal, head of the Women's Unit at Ruber Internacional Hospital, presented the trophy.
