Ruber Internacional Hospital was responsible for conducting medical tests on Verónica Guillén Malagón, a Madrid native and one of five female cancer survivors who will participate in the Pelayo Vida Costa Rica 2025 Challenge, which once again has Quirónsalud as its official medical provider.

During her visit to the hospital, Verónica underwent a complete blood test, an echocardiogram, an electrocardiogram and a stress test, under the supervision of Dr. Eduardo Alegría, cardiologist at Ruber Internacional Hospital. After the tests, the specialist confirmed that the participant ‘is in perfect condition to take on this new sporting and life challenge.’

The Pelayo Vida Challenge aims to raise awareness of the benefits of physical exercise during and after cancer treatment and to promote sport among women. In its eleventh edition, it will take five survivors on a journey through the wild geography of Costa Rica, facing an itinerary through jungles, rivers and volcanoes, symbols of strength, overcoming adversity and hope.

With this collaboration, once again this year, Quirónsalud demonstrates its commitment to women's health, cancer prevention and the promotion of sport as a source of life and well-being.
