Christian Dursteler Tatxe

Dr. Christian Dursteler Tatxe is a leading specialist in Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, trained at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, ​​where he earned his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1996. He currently serves as Head of the Health Service at the Hospital Universitario Sagrat Cor, leading the Pain Unit. Among his most significant scientific contributions is the publication "Effectiveness of a specific follow-up program for the management of the mental components of post-intensive care syndrome and chronic pain after COVID-19: results from the PAIN-COVID randomized clinical trial," published in the journal *Rev Esp Anestesiol Reanim Engl Ed* in May 2024. He has also been awarded the "2023 Socio-Health Care Research Award" by the Mutuam Conviure Foundation. He is an active member of the Surgical Area Committee of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, ​​consolidating his commitment to medical excellence and research in the field of pain.
