María Emilia Puentes

Dr. María Emilia Puentes is a pediatrician and pediatric rheumatologist, trained at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, where she earned her medical degree. She is accredited as a Pediatric Rheumatologist and Pediatric Specialist by the Argentine Ministry of Health and completed her residency in Pediatrics and her residency in Pediatric Rheumatology at the SAMIC "Prof. Dr. Juan P. Garrahan" Pediatric Hospital, where she served as a resident, chief resident, and tutor, in addition to teaching in the First Chair of Human Immunology at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. She is currently a specialist in Pediatrics and its subspecialties at the DEXEUS University Hospital in Barcelona. Her most notable publication, "Transition-transfer of patients with rheumatic diseases. Evidence based on clinical practice," appeared in the journal Medicina Infantil. She is a member of the Argentine Society of Rheumatology.
