Ruber Internacional Hospital has a 24-hour NO-WAIT Emergency Department to treat paediatric, gynaecological/obstetric and adult emergencies. It combines immediacy, medical excellence and continuity of care, enabling it to treat any highly complex urgent or emergency situation
A Specialised, multidisciplinary medical team
The service is directed by Dr. Javier Taboada, a specialist in internal medicine, and has an outstanding group of more than 15 specialists in critical and non-critical emergency care, with extensive experience in leading hospitals, both in the Community of Madrid and internationally. In addition, it has a multidisciplinary team in internal medicine, family medicine and emergencies, as well as in intensive care and coronary units, responsible for attending to the hospital's ICU.
Comfort and privacy
The emergency department has 11 single rooms with bathrooms, designed to offer privacy and comfort to patients and their families throughout the entire care process from the very beginning
Fast and efficient care
Our operating system is designed to avoid waiting times and guarantee the best medical care:
- Immediate reception and triage: the patient is assessed by nursing staff.
- Medical assessment and care: a specialist doctor is responsible for treating the patient and providing the necessary treatment.
- Coordination with other specialities: in addition to the specialities physically present (internal medicine, intensive care, paediatrics, neonatology, obstetrics, gynaecology), the hospital has teams on call for all other medical specialities 24/7, 365 days a year.
- Hospitalisation or discharge: if necessary, the patient is admitted to the appropriate unit or discharged with medical instructions.

Because every second counts, we are here for you 24/7
Our 24-hour Emergency Service is designed to offer immediate, effective and personalised care. We have a highly qualified team that works in coordination with the ICU and other specialities to guarantee the best care without compromising the quality of service.
If you have an emergency, do not hesitate to contact us immediately on 91 387 50 69.
Your health and well-being are our priority.

The emergency department has a high-resolution testing circuit, which includes:
- Radiology, laboratory, CT, MRI and ultrasound.
- Advanced monitoring and resuscitation equipment.
- Immediate access to operating theatres and the ICU for urgent referrals.
Thanks to this infrastructure, patients can complete their diagnosis, treatment and follow-up planning in a single day, avoiding unnecessary travel or delays.
We know that in an emergency it is difficult to think of everything, so we recommend that you bring the essentials to speed up your care:
- Identification document (ID card, foreign resident ID card or passport).
- Means of payment, as the service is private or reimbursement policy and does not work with insurance companies.
- Previous medical reports, if you have them (especially if you have a chronic illness or are undergoing treatment).
- List of medications you take regularly.
- Contact details of a family member or companion.
If you need to be admitted to hospital, a family member can take care of the administrative procedures later.

Ruber Internacional Hospital does not have its own ambulance service. However, if you need an ambulance for medical transport, call us immediately on 91 387 50 69 or 91 387 50. Our team will tell you how to proceed and provide you with the details of the service we usually work with.
Ruber Internacional Hospital is located at Calle de la Masó, 38, 28034 Madrid, in the Mirasierra neighbourhood.
The Emergency Department is located on the ground floor of the hospital and has a direct access ramp on one side of the façade, facilitating the admission of patients with reduced mobility or on stretchers.
Admission and reception
To formalise a patient's admission, you must go to the hospital reception, located on the same floor as the main entrance and adjacent to the emergency area. Our admissions team will assist you with the necessary paperwork.
The Emergency Department at Ruber Internacional Hospital offers exclusively private healthcare. It does not work with national insurance companies, so care must be paid for directly by the patient at the time of treatment. We also treat patients with reimbursement policies and international insurance.
How is payment made?
- Payment is made at the hospital, before or after receiving medical care, depending on the urgency of the case.
- Credit or debit cards and other payment methods accepted by the hospital are accepted.
- In the event of hospitalisation, an estimated quote and payment terms will be provided.
If you require further information about rates or payment methods, please contact us directly on 913 875 000 before attending.
Ruber Internacional Hospital has a specialised service for international patients. Our reception desk has multilingual staff to facilitate communication from the moment you arrive and coordinate your care with the International Patient Care Service.
