Pediatric Surgery with a Human Touch and Advanced Technology
Patient- and family-centred approach
We understand that surgery can be a stressful experience for both the child and their family. That is why we offer continuous support throughout the process, from preoperative assessment to postoperative follow-up. Our goal is to ensure the most comfortable and peaceful experience possible, providing clear information and emotional support at every stage.
Expert paediatric surgeons, cutting-edge technology and a family-centred approach.
State-of-the-art facilities and technology
We have operating theatres equipped with the latest technology adapted to the needs of paediatric patients. We also have a neonatal intensive care unit (ICU) and a paediatric ICU, both with modern equipment and specialised nursing staff, enabling intensive and safe care in complex cases. These facilities are designed to minimise stress, promote comfort and facilitate a quick and effective recovery.
The hospital also has a Paediatric Emergency Department available to immediately attend to any critical or unforeseen situation that may require surgical intervention or specialised assessment.
Multidisciplinary team
We work closely with other hospital departments, such as Paediatrics, Anaesthesiology, Radiology, Oncology and Paediatric Intensive Care, to offer a comprehensive and coordinated approach to the treatment of our patients. We also highlight our expert paediatric anaesthesia team, which is essential to ensuring safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.

- Phimosis
Narrowing of the foreskin that prevents retraction. We assess hygiene, topical treatment and surgery on a case-by-case basis. - Vulvar synechia
Adhesion of the labia minora. In most cases, it is benign and reversible with hygiene; in other cases, ointment or surgery is indicated. - Undescended testicle
When the testicle does not reach the scrotum. Early detection is essential in order to schedule surgery as soon as possible. - Hydrocele
Accumulation of fluid in the scrotum. In some cases, surgery is required to avoid complications. - Ankyloglossia (short frenulum)
Can interfere with breastfeeding and speech. Frenulum sectioning is an effective solution when indicated. - Umbilical hernia
A defect that usually resolves on its own. Surgery is performed if it persists after the age of 4. - Epigastric hernia
Does not disappear on its own. Surgical intervention is recommended. - Inguinal hernia
Must be operated on at diagnosis to avoid complications such as incarceration, especially in infants. - Chest wall malformations
Such as pectus excavatum or carinatum. We evaluate orthopaedic or surgical options depending on age and severity.
