Dr. Manuel Maynar has participated in the conference on Interventionism in Oncology de Quirónsalud Torrevieja

The Hospital Quirónsalud Torrevieja hosted on Friday, March 15 at 9:00 a conference on Interventionism in Oncology in which Dr. Manuel Maynar, precursor of Interventional Radiology in Spain, who has offered the paper "Interventionism in Oncology: Lights and shadows". In it he spoke about the techniques of Interventional Radiology applied to cancer treatment.

Dr. Manuel Maynar has more than twenty years of experience in the study of Interventional Radiology, field in which he has published several books and hundreds of articles in prestigious scientific journals such as The international journal of lower extremity wounds or American journal of roentgenology . In addition, he is a full professor of the Department of Radiology and Physical Medicine of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria since 1995.

He is a member of several medical societies related to Interventionalism both nationally and internationally, having been the first president of the Spanish Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology.

At the conference organized by the Hospital Quirónsalud Torrevieja has also participated Dr. Rubén López, Head of Interventional Radiology Hospital Lucerne (Switzerland), which has offered the presentation ""Interventionism in Oncology: Generalities with special interest in liver tumors."
