Scientific advances, innovation and new challenges in fertility will be the focus of the 2nd Assisted Reproduction Symposium at Ruber Internacional Hospital

On 5 and 6 March 2026, Ruber Internacional Hospital will hold the 2nd Assisted Reproduction Symposium, a meeting that will bring together renowned national and international experts to share the latest advances in fertility, reproductive biology and personalised medicine.
During the two days, five scientific sessions will be held, focusing on the main current challenges in reproductive medicine. Topics will range from new embryo implantation models and the optimisation of clinical results to technological innovations in the embryology and andrology laboratory, the impact of the environment on reproductive health, and the surgical and physiological challenges of the functional uterus.
The programme will combine keynote speeches, clinical debates and round tables, offering an integrated vision that connects basic research with healthcare practice. The event will also serve as a meeting place for professionals from different disciplines — gynaecology, biology, immunology, genetics and andrology — who share the same goal: to improve patients' quality of life and reproductive options.
The symposium will feature the participation of international and national leaders, who will contribute their experience on the most innovative trends, such as the application of artificial intelligence in embryo selection, gene editing, in vitro gametogenesis, and new therapies aimed at male and female reproductive health.
The symposium's organising committee, headed by Dr Elena Carrillo de Albornoz, medical director of the Reproduction Unit, and Dr Yosu Franco, scientific and laboratory director at Ruber Internacional Hospital, highlights the centre's commitment to medical excellence, research and continuing education.
