Dr. Alberto Palacios Ávila holds a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (2012) and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition in Mexico City (2012-2016), with a thesis focused on liver transplantation. He completed his residency in gastroenterology at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital (2020-2025) and received training in gastroenterological and hepatobiliary emergencies from the Asociación Española de Gastroenterología. He is a co-author of the book *Alexanderson's Physiology of the Endocrine and Digestive Systems* (Manual Moderno 2018) and has participated in national and international gastroenterology conferences. He focuses on the comprehensive management of patients with digestive diseases, with a particular interest in gastrointestinal endoscopy and gut-brain disorders.
