Head of service of the General and Digestive System Surgery Department at Quirónsalud La Luz Hospital and at the new Olympia Medical-Surgical Center. Madrid

• From June 1988 to July 1995, he was a surgeon in the School Insurance Service of the National Institute of Social Security. Provincial Directorate of Madrid
• From May 1992 to March 1997 surgeon of MUPRESPA (General Mutual Insurance Company for Occupational Accidents and Occupational Diseases).
• In June 1997 he became head of the Laparoscopic Surgery Unit at the Virgen de la Paloma Hospital in Madrid and coordinator of the ER department. During this period, he developed and directed the Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery Unit for the treatment of complex pathologies (Obesity Surgery, Colorectal Surgery and Oesophageal Gastric Surgery).
• He has been a member of the Surgery Medical Team at La Luz Hospital since 2000, and was appointed Head of Service in March 2017.
• A pioneer in the development of Laparoscopic surgery, which he started in 1991, he has extensive experience in this field. He worked on the first national study of laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery together with Doctors Miras and Laporte (Congress of the International Federation of Surgeons. Tenerife Oct 1995) and in 2004 he presented at the 7^th Congress of the Spanish Obesity Society "Technical aspects of Gastric Bypass by laparoscopy. Video.
• His area of greatest experience is in inguinal hernia surgery (trans abdominal approach - TAAP), single port colo-rectal surgery and obesity surgery, and he has collaborated in the teaching of these techniques to various surgeons who have referred to the service.
