Dr. Christian Patrick Yela Verdu holds a PhD in Medicine (with honors) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and is a specialist in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology . He is currently Head of the Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Department at the Hospital Universitario General de Catalunya , leading a multidisciplinary team focused on the comprehensive treatment of complex musculoskeletal pathologies. Previously, he was Head of the Knee Surgery Section at the Parc Taulí University Hospital in Sabadell. With extensive experience in prosthetic, robotic, arthroscopic, and preservation knee surgery, he has directed courses such as osteotomy courses and frequently participates as a speaker at national and international conferences. He has been a resident tutor for over six years. He is the author of scientific publications, including in The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery – American. An active member of the Spanish Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (SECOT), the Spanish Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (SEROD), and the Spanish Society of Anesthesiology and Traumatology (ESSKA), he is known for his commitment to clinical excellence, teaching, and innovation in his specialty.
