Francisco Castro Domínguez

Dr. Francisco Castro Domínguez is a leading figure in Rheumatology and Head of the Rheumatology Department at the Instituto Artrotek in the Centro Médico Teknon (Barcelona). A graduate of the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, he completed his training at Humboldt University of Berlin and specialized at the Hospital del Mar i l'Esperança, with subspecialization in knee osteoarthritis and sports medicine at the University of Sydney. He holds a Master's degree in Hospital Management, has research experience in inflammation and cartilage, and an MBA from ESADE. He has coordinated the ARTROSER Group of the Spanish Society of Rheumatology and is a co-ambassador for OARSI in Spain. He is a leading expert in precision medicine and quality of care in osteoarthritis, serving on various national and international scientific committees. His academic and scientific-training activities are noteworthy, including coordinating and presenting courses and congresses for the Spanish Society of Rheumatology (SER), OARSI, and EULAR. He has published numerous research articles and is a member of several scientific societies.
