General information
Dr. Mireia Saballs studied Medicine at the UAB, graduating with the Extraordinary Final Career Award in 1991. She completed her specific training in the Internal Medicine Service of Vall d'Hebron Hospital, specializing in Infectious Diseases. Subsequently, she worked in the Infectious Diseases Service of Hospital de Bellvitge, being part of the Nosocomial Infection Control Unit (VINICS program and later VINCAT), with special dedication to the programs of surveillance of intrahospital infection and treatment of infections caused by multiresistant germs, work that has continued carrying out in other centers where she has worked later.
She is currently a member of the Internal Medicine Team of the Quironsalud Hospital of Barcelona since July 2019, and chairs the Infection Commission of the center since December 2019.
