Rafael Víctor Arroyo González

Dr. Rafael Arroyo González holds a Doctorate in Medicine and Surgery from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, graduating summa cum laude with an extraordinary award (2004). He is a Professor of Neurology at the Universidad Europea (2023). Since 1996, he has pursued his teaching career successively as an Honorary Collaborator, Associate Professor, Full Professor, and finally, Professor at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and the Universidad Europea. He obtained his Specialist Title in Neurology from the Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid (1994) and a Master's Degree in Medical Management and Clinical Administration from the UNED (2006). He is currently Head of the Neurology Department at the Hospital Universitario Quirónsalud Madrid , the Hospital Universitario Ruber Juan Bravo , and the Centros Olympia Pozuelo y Olympia Castellana. He leads a team of 45 specialists, including neurologists, neurophysiologists, pediatric neurologists, neuropsychologists, and clinical trial coordinators. For the past 18 years, he has directed all clinical, teaching, and research activities at the Neurology Department of the Hospital Universitario Quirónsalud Madrid , the Hospital Ruber Juan Bravo , and the Centros Olympia Pozuelo y Olympia Castellana. He has published 180 international and 45 national articles with a cumulative impact factor of 1.226 and an H-index of 40. He has been the principal investigator of more than 190 international clinical trials on neurological diseases, particularly multiple sclerosis and other neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. He has extensive knowledge of and involvement in the prevention of neurodegenerative diseases and stroke. He has three six-year research periods accredited by the ANECA (National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation).
