Ruber Internacional Hospital and Johanna Müller bring together the LATAM community around smart health and beauty
Ruber Internacional Hospital and Johanna Müller hosted an exclusive event focused on prevention as a fundamental pillar of well-being and beauty, under the title "Smart Health and Beauty: Another Way to Care for Yourself." The event took place this Tuesday at the L.A. Studio Art and Design Gallery and brought together a select group of guests from Latin America.
The session featured leading specialists from Ruber Internacional Hospital, who addressed the importance of prevention from a multidisciplinary perspective. Among them, Dr. Begoña Molina, a specialist in Endocrinology and Nutrition, offered a comprehensive, evidence-based view of how health prevention can be approached through these fields.
"From the perspective of smart nutrition and health, we help attendees gain a broad, evidence-based understanding of how prevention can be integrated into a multidisciplinary approach such as the one we offer at the hospital," explained Dr. Molina.
The session also included a presentation by Dr. Andrea Huerta-Vena, a Dermatology specialist, who emphasized the importance of comprehensive skin and hair care, as well as the role of regenerative aesthetic medicine as part of an overall health strategy. In this regard, she highlighted that "prevention and a personalized approach not only improve appearance but also help preserve long-term skin health, integrating medical and aesthetic treatments within a scientific and safe framework."
Meanwhile, Dr. Arantzazu Álvarez de Arcaya, a specialist in Internal Medicine, explored the need to move toward evidence-based, personalized medicine with a global perspective. As she noted, "the current challenge is to understand the patient as a whole, anticipate disease, and offer prevention strategies tailored to each individual, also incorporating a gender perspective as a key element in clinical decision-making."
In this context, the gender perspective plays a fundamental role in medicine: health determinants, the perception of illness, its presentation, and the doctor–patient relationship are all differentiating factors that directly influence the approach to women’s health.
For this reason, the Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, and Dermatology units—working in coordination with other specialties—provide a comprehensive evaluation focused on prevention, early detection, and the optimization of health at every stage of life.
