El Dr. Boix va néixer a València i després de quatre anys de medicina a València, va finalitzar la seva carrera a la Université Lliure de Bruxelles. Es va especialitzar en Neonatologia al Regne Unit. Principalment al King's College de Londres i al Monash Medical Centre de Melbourne. Va tornar a Espanya i va treballar a l'UCI Neonatal de Hospital Universitario Vall d'Hebron a Barcelona des del 2007 fins al 2021, combinant atenció clínica i investigació. El 2018, va ser nomenat Cap del Servei de Pediatria a l' Hospital Quironsalud Barcelona. Des del juny del 2021, és el Director Territorial de Pediatria de Quironsalud a l'àrea de Barcelona. El seu interès en recerca inclou la transició del fetus al nadó, amb èmfasi en els sistemes neurològic i respiratori neonatal. Ha publicat nombrosos articles i és revisor per a diverses revistes internacionals. És membre de la SENeo, ESPR i EBN. Ha estat classificat entre els 5 millors pediatres d'Espanya per Forbes, El Confidencial i Consalud des del 2020 fins avui.
