Eight hospitals within the Quirónsalud Group have been recognised in the eighth edition of the BSH – Best Spanish Hospitals Awards, organised by the specialist consultancy Higia Benchmarking. These awards recognise hospital excellence through indicators relating to efficiency, appropriateness of care and quality of healthcare delivery.
The awards assessed public and private hospitals across Spain, evaluating healthcare quality and efficiency through the analysis of more than 100 clinical processes across 11 clinical areas, representing over 5,000 indicators reviewed per hospital.

BSH Awards Methodology
The methodology of the BSH – Best Spanish Hospitals Awards is based exclusively on the analysis of objective data derived from hospital activity. Participating hospitals are compared within homogeneous groups according to their service portfolio and level of complexity.
The awards are determined through the assessment of indicators relating to quality of care, patient safety, appropriateness, efficiency and risk-adjusted health outcomes. More than one hundred clinical processes across the medical, surgical and maternal-child care areas are analysed.
The awards also include specific voluntary participation categories, such as Hospital Emergency Departments, Intensive Care Units (ICUs) and Value-Based Healthcare Assessment, with the aim of identifying best practices and promoting continuous improvement across Spanish hospitals.
