Hospital Quirónsalud Marbella has once again served as the official healthcare partner of the Marbella Championship 2026, held from 2 to 4 October at Parque del Mediterráneo, with the participation of nearly 1,500 athletes from more than 40 countries.
The competition brought together athletes from different categories and levels, competing in individual, pairs and team events, turning Marbella into an international meeting point for CrossFit athletes and enthusiasts from around the world.
As part of its collaboration with the event, Hospital Quirónsalud Marbella Made its healthcare resources and medical professionals available to both organisers and participants, maintaining close coordination throughout the competition to ensure a prompt and effective response to any healthcare needs.
The international scale of the championship also provided an opportunity to highlight the hospital’s International Patient Services. Athletes and accompanying visitors travelling to the Costa del Sol from abroad were able to benefit from the hospital’s Hospitality Programme, a service designed to facilitate access to healthcare during their stay, offering support from the very first call and assistance in several languages.
Depending on each patient's needs, the service can coordinate medical consultations, home healthcare assistance or hospital assessments, making it easier for international visitors temporarily staying on the Costa del Sol to access appropriate medical care.
The participation of athletes from more than 40 countries further reinforces the international nature of the Marbella Championship and highlights the importance of having healthcare services prepared to care for patients of different nationalities and with diverse healthcare needs, particularly at sporting events involving high levels of physical performance.
Through this collaboration, Hospital Quirónsalud Marbella continues to strengthen its links with the leading sporting events on the Costa del Sol, while reaffirming its commitment to providing high-quality healthcare to both the local community and the international visitors who choose Marbella as a sporting and tourist destination.
