Arantzazu Álvarez de Arcaya Vicente

Dr. Arantzazu Álvarez de Arcaya Vicente is a specialist in Internal Medicine and holds a PhD in Medicine from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2009). She currently practices Internal Medicine at Ruber Internacional and Centro Médico Habana , both in Madrid, where she leads the internal medicine team and provides intensive care to complex and hospitalist patients. She has held leading positions at the Hospital Universitario Clínico San Carlos, including Director of the Clinical Management Unit for Hospitalist Medicine and founder of cardiovascular failure and prevention departments. Among her scientific contributions is the article "Co-management reduces mortality in post-sternotomy mediastinitis," published in Surg Infect. She has received ISO 9001:2015 certification for the patient care process in Hospitalist Medicine from the Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid and is a member of the Spanish Society of Internal Medicine (SEMI).
